Weight. It’s a struggle. It always has been. It always will be. I became that guy. You know, the funny guy. The one that made fun of his weight before you could. The one that became comfortable wearing 5x shirts, 52 inch pants. That guy that quit going to football games because he was too big to fit in a seat. Yea, I WAS that guy.
Then one day, 11 years ago, I became that guy with diabetes. That was at my heaviest, 411 lbs. So then it began. Meds each morning. Lots of them. A shot once a week. Eventually I lost. But it was a slow go.
April 2nd, 2021. That’s the day our lives changed. Thats the day my wife’s and I weight loss journey began.
Angie and her staff has changed our lives. I was never a big believer in any kind of weight loss shot, supplement or pill. But now, if my testimony can help someone that struggles with weight. Can help someone that doesn’t believe. Then my job is to help.
I have lost 76.6 lbs in just over 6 months. More importantly, I have lost 11.5 inches off my waist. I went from a size 50 pants to a 40. Do you have any idea how incredibly awesome it feels to walk into Costco, look at some jeans or shirts and go, yea, Ill get that today because I CAN!? It feels great. I feel great.
Our journey isn’t done. And thats truly what it is, a journey. Its not going to be smooth. It will have bumpy roads. As long as you stay the course. Go to your weekly weigh in, take your supplements, work out, eat right…eventually all of it BECOMES a new way of life.
We had always had a goal of losing weight. It was always great just to think about it. But without a plan, without a process of achieving the goal, it’s really just a dream.
